This 15-Days South Africa & Seychelles itinerary has been designed especially for honeymooners. Stay at a lodge in Pilanesberg National Park, have a candlelit dinner in a jungle, and encounter Big 5 animals on a safari game drive. You will also explore the scenic Garden Route on a self-drive, visit the Mother City (Cape Town), taste wine in Franschhoek, and do island hopping in Seychelles. On arrival at Johannesburg Airport, our representative will meet and greet you and transfer you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and relax. The evening is free for leisure. Hotel Emperor's Palace is a casino hotel and offers multi-cuisine restaurants, shopping, entertainment and much more. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pilanesberg National Park. Arrive and check in at Bakubung Bush Lodge and take some time to relax. Later this afternoon, you'll join an exhilarating open vehicle game drive in search of Africa’s magnificent wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
An early wake-up call signals another exciting day in Africa. After morning coffee and some refreshments, you'll head out into the bush on an early morning sunrise safari. Since this is a “Big Five” reserve, encountering lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo is possible on this safari. The game drive lasts for approximately 3 hours. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, either at the pool, gym, bar or go on a bush walk (own cost). Dinner will once again be enjoyed at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will check out from the lodge. Transfer to Johannesburg Airport where you will board a Johannesburg/George flight. Upon arrival at George Airport, go to the counter for the collection of your vehicle. You will self-drive to Knysna, where you will spend the following 3 nights. Vehicle hire inclusions: Automatic transmission, air-conditioning, unlimited mileage, super insurance cover for theft and damage, personal accident insurance cover, map books, 24-hour backup, and GPS unit. Knysna lies in the heart of the Garden Route and is a beautiful coastal town with an indigenous forest on one side and a lagoon on the other. The lagoon joins the sea between the majestic Knysna Heads. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon wandering through either the waterfront area or the recently developed Thesen Island. Head to the hotel for your overnight stay.
Today, self-drive to the ostrich capital of the world, the town of Oudtshoorn. It is located in the area of the Klein Karoo, a semi-desert area of the country. We will visit an ostrich farm where you will get to learn about the feather, leather and meat industry, not only in South Africa, but also around the world. Lunch will be enjoyed at the ostrich farm. In the afternoon, we will visit the famous Cango Caves which are estimated to be 20 million years old and are considered a World Heritage Site. In the evening, return to Knysna for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and make your way to the Stellenbosch Winelands. Other than being a university town with beautiful Cape Dutch architecture, it is also South Africa’s premier wine district. Take the opportunity to drive out to some of the most well-known wine estates and sample their fine wines. The vineyards well worth a visit in the Stellenbosch area are Rust-en-Vrede, Kanonkop, Warwick Estate, Rustenburg and many more.
After breakfast, you check out and drive to the Mother City, Cape Town. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and explore the city on your own. Later in the evening, the rental car will be picked up by our representative from your hotel where you will spend your overnight stay.
Today, the day tour of Cape Town will start with a delicious breakfast that will be served at the hotel. Later, you will be picked up by your driver for the city tour covering all the major attractions. Start off with a visit to Table Mountain which offers a panoramic sight of the entire city. Table Mountain (a sandstone bed) is known for its hiking tours and the flora and fauna conserved in the Table Mountain National Park. Proceed toward Signal Hill near Table Mountain where you can go on a hike, weather permitting. After the hiking tour, you have the rest of the day left to enjoy the scenic drive through Clifton and the coastline of Cape Town. Other attractions, like the Houses of Parliament, the Company Gardens or the city hall, can be explored if there is sufficient time.
In the morning, we start with a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard which will be an incredible experience. Proceed toward Sea Point and Camps Bay. Hout Bay, a fishing village, is not to be missed. Enjoy a boat ride to Seal Island. You have the rest of the day to explore Cape Point through Chapman's Peak. Lying close to the end of the Cape Peninsula, the landscape is surrounded by the best marine view. The place offers a supreme location for hiking or biking. The next attraction of your Cape Town tour is the Cape of Good Hope, which was nominated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The penguins, dassies, antelopes and southern right whales are some of the wildlife that attracts a significant number of tourists. The Cape Town city tour is incomplete without a cultural tour to Simon's Town. The town exhibits the historical and cultural richness of the village, the vintage architecture, the seal colonies, penguins, the aerial and marine life.
Today after breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport. Board your domestic flight to Johannesburg to catch your connecting flight to Mahe, Seychelles (additional cost). Arriving at the Mahe airport, the tour will start with a transfer to your reserved accommodation. Mahe Island flaunts the most engaging accommodation, beautiful hotels and resorts where you can spend a leisurely vacation. The dense vegetation, granite peaks, beaches, village life and the long coastline are major attractions that you can explore on the tour. You will have dinner at the resort.
After breakfast, we proceed for the Mahe city tour. You will see the Victoria market where you can shop for local souvenirs and handicrafts. Also, catch a glimpse of the history with the clock tower in the middle of the capital city of Victoria. There will be great photo opportunities. You will have time to visit the beautiful beaches of Mahe, including Beau Vallon, Anse Royale, Baie Lazare and others. Capture some amazing views of the island from the La Misere viewpoint. You can also choose to stop at Mission Lodge, the Botanical Gardens (entrance fee not included) and other popular tourist sights in Mahe.
In the morning, we proceed for a full-day excursion to Praslin Island. We transfer you to the jetty to board your ferry for a 55-minute journey to Praslin island. Explore the island on your own. In the evening, proceed to the jetty for your return to Mahe Island, where you will overnight at the resort.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
